What do you value the most in music?

 - Music makes us spiritually rich, it helps to open novel powers and see the life in new tones and colors.

Many musicians say that they get to know themselves more and open own new talents because of your art…How the music influenced you?

 - Music taught me to believe in myself and serve as a permanent stimulus to grow as a person and professionally.

What does music mean to you?

 - I can not say better than a famous writer: “Music makes me forget myself, my real position; it transports me to some other position not my own. Under the influence of music it seems to me that I feel what I do not really feel, that I understand what I do not understand, that I can do what I cannot do...Music carries me immediately and directly into the mental condition in which the man was who composed it. My soul merges with his and together with him I pass from one condition into another”.

Who are your idols?

 - Jazz contrabass players 1. John Patitucci 2. Ray Brown 3. Oscar Pettiford 4. Adam Ben Ezra and many other jazz contrabass players whom I respect ... Among classical contrabass players there are 1. Harry Kar 2. Rinat Ibragimov 3. Martin Thomas 4. Amazing contrabass player is Mikyung  Sung.  I admire many other performers as well.

If you weren't a musician, what would you be?

 -  I thank to the Fate that it brought me to Music. Now I can not see myself elsewhere than Music.

Do you think that musicians have all opportunities to become popular and successful in Kazakhstan (on globally)? Why?  

- Every day life gives us thousands of different opportunities: opportunity to change, to start all over again, or be on our best behavior and discover new talents.  The main thing is to caught these opportunities.

My Motherland, like the rest of the world, recognizes eternal value of classical music.  We are closely integrated into cultural map of the world, and we also have Musicians Institutes providing academic opportunities, exchange programs and skills development.

 What is the ideal life for you as a musician?

 - Life in perfect harmony
